1. The Cullen Family Crest
In the books, the Cullens try their best to mix up with the humans but fail after some time. This is because they are all extremely good-looking, orphaned, and dating each other. These oddities keep the humans away.
However, in the movie, the entire Cullen family wears a Cullen Crest around their neck. This factor makes them even more odd and cultish. This factor was not there in the novels.
2. Bella Reveals To Edward That She Knows That He Is A Vampire
In the book, Bella tells Edward that she knows that he is a vampire while he is driving her back to her home. The moment is portrayed as very intimate and quiet. However, in the movie, the situation is different and dramatic as well. As Bella wanders, Edward follows her and just asks her to “Say it OUT LOUD!” and she responds with “Vampire!”
3. Bella, Charlie, And The Diner
In the book, Bella cooks food for Charlie after she finds out that he can’t cook. Also, Bella is described as someone who looks after her mother as well. This shows Bella as being more responsible than her age. However, in the movie, Charlie and Bella often frequent a nearby diner. This changes the dynamic between the father and the daughter.
4. Waylon Forge
This is one of the biggest differences between the movies and the books. The character named Waylon Forge was not at all present in the novels. Furthermore, the mystery of disappearances leading up to the discovery of James’ coven is also not present in the book. This increases the tension in the movie and makes the vampires appear more dangerous.
5. Jacob Black’s Height
Taylor Lautner won the hearts of every Twilight fan and even created a cult of team Jacob. He is introduced into the movies as a boy next door. Here, Jacob is 5’10” and just a few inches taller than Bella and almost three inches shorter than Edward. However, things are quite different in the books, as Jacob is the tallest character (6’7”) in the book. Hence, the movie material and the feel of the movie would have been very different if the heights were accurate.
6. The Backstory Of Alice Cullen
The movies show the early life of the Cullens through different flashbacks and how each of them became vampire and turned vegetarian after meeting Carlisle Cullen. Despite that, the movies fail to portray the background story of Alice Cullen. However, in the books, Alice is extremely important, and a detailed description is given of her precognitive ability. 7. The Final Battle In Breaking Dawn Part 2
